Justice Fund

In memory of 'Justice' Collins, Cloquet Animal Hospital has established a special fund to help pay for the care of sick or injured pets that would otherwise not get the help they need because of financial constraints of the owners.  Our goal is to help animals that would otherwise have to be euthanized because the owners cannot pay the cost of treatment or surgery.

Justice was a very special dog in many ways.  He was a top ranked American Kennel Club Champion Afghan Hound who left his mark and was respected around the world. More importantly, he was also the beloved family pet of Cloquet’s Tom and Beth Collins.  Justice was a special patient of ours and he was chosen as Cloquet Animal Hospital’s very first pet of the month.  Justice passed away in March 2010 at 13 years of age. He was a great ambassador for the breed and the community and he is missed by many people around the world.

Justice's family was able to provide the best care for him and helped him live a long and happy life.  The Collins family, along with Cloquet Animal Hospital and many caring donors hope to bring that care to other animal friends in need.

In exchange for the financial help, the founders of the Justice fund ask that the recipient’s family pay it forward in the Cloquet community – volunteer for a few hours at the Friends of Animals Humane Society, help a neighbor in need, pick up litter at the park, or any other way they can think of to keep Cloquet the wonderful community that it is.

Donations and memorials to the Justice Fund can be made at Cloquet Animal Hospital.  The donations will be earmarked and will only be used to help animals in need.
